1. Operator and scope
These terms apply to consumers using LetzVet. The platform is operated by LetzPrint S.à r.l.-S, 19, rue des Alliés, L-4412 Belvaux, Luxembourg.
2. Platform role and contracting party
LetzVet provides search, information, contact and, where enabled, technical appointment and booking functions. A contract for a veterinary or other professional service offered by a third-party provider is generally concluded between the user and the provider clearly identified before the contract is made. LetzPrint is not itself the veterinarian, clinic or professional service provider.
Before a binding booking is submitted, the provider, essential characteristics of the service, price or pricing method, appointment details, key cancellation information and any provider-specific terms must be displayed clearly.
3. User account
Where an account is required, users must provide accurate and current information, protect their credentials and refrain from abusive, automated or security-compromising use.
4. Provider information and verification
Profile information may originate from the provider. LetzVet may verify registry, professional qualification or identity information. A “verified” label only means that the evidence defined by the verification process has been checked; it is not a guarantee of the outcome, quality or suitability of a particular treatment.
5. Appointments, booking, cancellation and no-show
The booking flow states whether a request is immediately binding or still requires provider confirmation. Cancellation and no-show rules only apply if they were communicated transparently before booking and do not conflict with mandatory consumer law. Cancelling an appointment is legally distinct from exercising a statutory right of withdrawal.
6. Withdrawal and online functions
Where a consumer enters into a paid distance contract directly with LetzPrint and a statutory withdrawal right applies, the legally required information and, where applicable, an online withdrawal function will be provided. For Germany and France, the electronic withdrawal requirements in force since 2026 must be implemented technically for relevant contracts. Ongoing consumer contracts may also be subject to national online termination requirements, particularly in Germany and France where the statutory conditions are met.
Where the contract is with an independent provider, withdrawal, performance and cancellation of that professional service are governed by the applicable law and the provider information made available before contract conclusion.
7. Payments
If online payments are enabled, the payment service provider is identified in the checkout or payment information. LetzPrint should not receive or hold funds owed to an independent provider without a documented regulatory basis.
8. No veterinary advice by LetzPrint
LetzVet does not replace an examination, diagnosis or treatment by an authorised veterinarian. In urgent situations, users must contact an appropriate veterinary practice, clinic or emergency service directly.
9. Reviews and content
Reviews and other user content must be truthful, relevant and lawful. Fabricated or paid reviews, impersonation, unlawful content, threats, insults and unnecessary disclosure of third-party personal data are prohibited. LetzPrint may restrict or remove unlawful or contract-breaching content following an appropriate review process.
10. Availability
Unless expressly agreed otherwise, LetzPrint does not guarantee uninterrupted availability. Maintenance, security measures, technical incidents, telecommunications or third-party failures and force majeure may cause interruptions. Mandatory statutory rights remain unaffected.
11. Liability
LetzPrint is liable in accordance with mandatory law. No limitation applies in cases of intent, gross negligence, injury to life, body or health, or where liability is mandatory. The relevant provider is generally responsible for the professional performance of the booked third-party service.
12. Suspension and complaints
Accounts or functions may be proportionately restricted in cases of security risks, unlawful activity, abuse or serious breach. Where required by law, reasons and complaint options are provided.
13. Applicable law
To the extent permitted, Luxembourg law applies. This choice does not deprive consumers of mandatory protections of the country of their habitual residence where LetzVet directs its activities to that country. Mandatory jurisdiction and consumer rules remain unaffected.
14. Target markets Luxembourg, Germany, France and Belgium
LetzVet targets users in Luxembourg, Germany, France and Belgium. Mandatory national rules on information, withdrawal, termination, dispute resolution and consumer protection apply in addition where relevant. Language versions are intended to have the same meaning; no discrepancy may reduce mandatory consumer rights.
15. Changes
Each new version receives a new version number. Changes do not apply retroactively to the detriment of contracts already concluded. Where renewed consent is required, it is obtained separately.

Ranking (Art. 5 Regulation (EU) 2019/1150)
This section is addressed to the businesses listed here. It sets out the main parameters that decide the order in which businesses appear, the reasons for their relative weight, and the effect that paying has on that order. It is the same mechanism the public ranking page describes, and it is set out here as well because the Regulation requires it to be part of these terms.
How the order of businesses is decided
This page names every parameter that decides where a business appears in our directory, and how much weight each one carries. It describes what the software actually does – not what we would like it to do.
The default order (“Recommended”)
Two things decide it, in this order. First the paid tier of the business: Gold → Silver → Bronze → Free. A business on a higher tier is placed above one on a lower tier. Second, within one and the same tier, a rotation that is reshuffled every day and is the same for every reader that day.
Why in that order: the directory is free to be listed in and free to search. The paid tiers are what pays for it, so they buy a better average position. The daily rotation exists so that position is the only thing they buy – within a tier nobody is permanently at the top, and in particular not because their name begins with A. Over time every business in a tier gets the same average position.
Counted is the tier actually paid for. A running trial does not lift a business.
Demonstration entries, which exist so the site can be shown when few businesses have signed up, always sort behind every real entry and can never hold a paid slot. They carry a label.
When you type something into the search box
Your words are used to FILTER, not to rank. We match them against the business name, the postcode, the town, and the names of the kind of business, the species and the field of work. Everything that matches is then listed alphabetically by name. There is no relevance score: a business is not placed higher because it matches your words better, and the paid tier does not lift it either.
When you search around a place
Then the order is the distance from that place, nearest first. The paid tier plays no part.
The orders you can choose yourself
When you pick one of these, it replaces every other rule above – including the tier weighting:
- Name A–Z
- Best rated
- Soonest appointment
- Nearest
Paid placement
Above the ordinary list there can be a separate strip of at most 4 paid entries. It is always labelled as advertising and is never mixed into the ordinary list.
A business can only be in it if it is on the highest tier, has been given the slot by hand, and matches the filters you have set – your search words or place and distance, country, region, kind of business, species, field of work, badges, home visits and emergency service. If it takes bookings online, it must also have a free appointment within 14 days.
A business in the paid strip is marked on its card as well. If you change a filter, the strip disappears and those businesses take their chances in the ordinary list – their card keeps the advertising mark, so you can tell.
What the order does NOT take into account
The order does not weigh up the services a business offers, nor how well they fit what you are looking for. It knows the paid tier, the daily rotation, whether an entry is a demonstration entry, the distance when you search around a place, and the order you have chosen yourself. Everything else reaches the order only through the filters you set.
Ratings do not enter the default order either. They only decide it if you pick “Best rated” yourself.
Where else this applies
The same tier weighting and daily rotation decide which businesses appear in the small “free today” strip and in the example on the home page. The alphabetical index of all businesses is what its name says: alphabetical.
